Educational Q&A

As a concluding colophon, the verse primarily marks the end of a chapter situated in the Dāna-dharma teachings, emphasizing that the surrounding narrative is meant to instruct on righteous giving (dāna), proper reception of guests and mendicants (bhikṣā), and the ethical obligations tied to generosity.

The line is not a spoken narrative event but an editorial-style closure: it announces that the chapter titled “Durvāsā’s Alms” has ended within the Anuśāsana Parva’s charity-focused section.
