अकस्माच्च प्रहसति तथाकस्मात् प्ररोदिति । न चास्य वयसा तुल्य: पृथिव्यामभवत् तदा,वे अकस्मात् जोर-जोरसे हँसने लगते और अचानक फूट-फूटकर रो पड़ते थे। उस समय इस पृथ्वीपर उनका समवयस्क कोई नहीं था
akasmācca prahasati tathākasmāt praroditi | na cāsya vayasā tulyaḥ pṛthivyām abhavat tadā ||
Vāyu-deva berkata: “Tanpa sebab yang nyata dia tiba-tiba meledak ketawa, dan seketika itu juga menangis teresak-esak. Pada waktu itu, di bumi ini tiada seorang pun yang sebaya dengannya yang dapat dianggap setara.”
