Shloka 159

इति श्रीमहा भारते अनुशासनपर्वणि दानथधर्मपर्वणि दुर्वासोभिक्षा नाम एकोनषष्ट्यधिकशततमो<ध्याय:

iti śrīmahābhārate anuśāsanaparvaṇi dānadharmaparvaṇi durvāsobhikṣā nāma ekonaṣaṣṭyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ

Demikianlah, dalam Śrī Mahābhārata, di dalam Anuśāsana Parva—khususnya bahagian tentang dharma pemberian—berakhirlah bab ke-159 yang bertajuk “Permintaan Sedekah Durvāsā”. Kolofon penutup ini membingkai peristiwa tersebut sebagai ajaran tentang kemurahan hati dan tata laku yang benar ketika menyahut tuntutan seorang insan suci, menegaskan bahawa sedekah hendaklah diberikan dengan penuh hormat dan tanpa rasa kesal.
