The verse teaches that Kṛṣṇa (Hṛṣīkeśa) is the cosmic creator and sustainer: the worlds and natural order arise from him. Ethically, it encourages devotion and dharmic living by recognizing a divine foundation behind the universe and its order.
In Bhīṣma’s instruction to Yudhiṣṭhira in the Anuśāsana Parva, Bhīṣma praises Kṛṣṇa with cosmic epithets and attributes to him the creation of space, earth, heaven, the atmosphere, forests, and mountains—elevating Kṛṣṇa’s status from ally in the war to supreme divine principle.
