कां वा ब्राह्मणपूजायां व्युष्टिं दृष्टवा महाव्रत । तानर्चसि महाबाहो सर्वमेतद् वदस्व मे,महान् व्रतधारी महाबाहो! ब्राह्मणोंकी पूजासे भविष्यमें मिलनेवाले किस फलकी ओर दृष्टि रखकर आप उनकी आराधना करते थे? यह सब मुझे बताइये
kāṁ vā brāhmaṇapūjāyāṁ vyuṣṭiṁ dṛṣṭvā mahāvrata | tān arcasi mahābāho sarvam etad vadasva me ||
Yudhiṣṭhira berkata: “Wahai pengamal sumpah agung, wahai yang berlengan perkasa—dengan memandang kepada ganjaran masa hadapan apakah yang lahir daripada pemujaan para brāhmaṇa, engkau menghormati mereka? Ceritakanlah semuanya kepadaku.”
युधिछिर उवाच
