Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)

य एष कथितो राजन्‌ मया सज्जनसंनिधौ । शड्करस्योमया सार्ध संवादो धर्मसंहित:,नरेश्वर! भगवान्‌ शंकरका पार्वतीजीके साथ जो धर्मविषयक संवाद हुआ था, उसे इन सत्पुरुषोंके निकट मैंने तुम्हें सुना दिया

ya eṣa kathito rājan mayā sajjana-saṁnidhau | śaṅkarasyomayā sārdhaṁ saṁvādo dharma-saṁhitaḥ ||

Bhishma berkata: “Wahai Raja, di hadapan para insan berbudi ini, aku kini telah menceritakan kepadamu wacana tentang dharma yang berlangsung antara Śaṅkara yang mulia dan Umā.”
