Shloka 48

भीष्मस्योत्तरायणप्रतीक्षा तथा युधिष्ठिरागमनम् | Bhīṣma’s uttarāyaṇa moment and Yudhiṣṭhira’s arrival

एतत्‌ तस्यानवद्यस्य विष्णोर्व परमं व्रतम्‌ । आदिदेवस्य महत:ः सज्जनाचरितं सदा,उन प्रशंसनीय आदि देवता भगवान्‌ महाविष्णुका यह उत्तम व्रत है, जिसका साधु पुरुष सदा आचरण करते आये हैं

etat tasyānavadyasya viṣṇor vai paramaṁ vratam | ādidevasya mahataḥ sajjanācaritaṁ sadā ||

Inilah sesungguhnya nazar tertinggi bagi Viṣṇu yang tanpa cela—Dewa Purba yang agung—suatu amalan mulia yang sentiasa diamalkan oleh orang-orang saleh sejak dahulu.
