evam astv iti tad-vākyaṁ mayoktaḥ prāha śaṅkaraḥ | tato māṁ jagato mātā dhāriṇī sarva-pāvanī …

Translation

Setelah aku mengucapkan kata-kata itu, Śaṅkara menjawab, “Demikianlah jadinya.” Lalu Ibu alam semesta—yang menanggung dan memelihara segala makhluk serta menyucikan semuanya—(Umā, permaisuri Rudra) berkata dengan hati yang terpusat: “Wahai yang tidak berdosa, Bhagavān telah mengurniakan kepadamu seorang putera bernama Sāmba.”
