Vānaprastha-dharma and Tapas: Śiva–Umā Saṃvāda
Forest-Stage Discipline and Austerity
ततः सर्वा महाभाग देवता: समरुद्गणा:
tataḥ sarvā mahābhāgā devatāḥ samarudgaṇāḥ
Kemudian semua dewa yang mulia—bersama rombongan Marut—pun berhimpun.
शक्र उवाच
The verse highlights that dharma is supported by a wider moral-cosmic order: when a pivotal moment arises, the gods collectively gather, implying that righteous outcomes are not merely personal but resonate with and are affirmed by the divine order.
Śakra (Indra) narrates that all the deities, along with the Marut hosts, come together—signaling a formal divine assembly and a turning point where the gods are poised to witness, approve, or act in relation to the events being described.
