श्रोत्रियांश्व विकर्मस्थान् प्राज्ञांक्षाप्पजितेन्द्रियान् । मन्येडनुध्यायसि जनांस्तेनासि हरिण: कृश:
Transliteration
śrotriyāṁś ca vikarmasthān prājñān kṣāntān jitendriyān | manye ’nudhyāyasi janāṁs tenāsi hariṇaḥ kṛśaḥ ||
Translation
Brahmana itu berkata: “Pada hematku, engkau terus memikirkan orang-orang yang mahir Veda namun terjerat dalam perbuatan yang salah—walau mereka bijaksana, sabar, dan mampu mengawal indera. Kerana fikiranmu terpaut pada mereka, engkau menjadi kurus seperti rusa.”
