Educational Q&A

Maintain purity and social consideration by keeping bodily waste, foot-washing, and disposal of leftovers away from the living area; personal welfare is linked with disciplined cleanliness (śauca) and proper conduct (sadācāra).

In Anuśāsana Parva, Bhīṣma instructs on dharma and right conduct; here he gives a practical rule of household hygiene as part of ethical living.
