भूगुरुवाच पितामहनियोगेन भवन्तं सो5हमागत: । प्रतिकर्तु बलवति नहुषे दैवमोहिते,भगु बोले--मुने! ब्रह्माजीकी आज्ञासे मैं आपके पास आया हूँ। बलवान्‌ नहुष दैववश मोहित हो रहा है। आज उससे ऋषियोंपर किये गये अत्याचारका बदला लेना है

Bhṛgur uvāca: pitāmaha-niyogena bhavantaṃ so ’ham āgataḥ | pratikartuṃ balavati Nahuṣe daiva-mohite ||

Bhṛgu berkata: “Dengan titah Sang Pitāmaha (Brahmā), aku datang kepadamu. Nahuṣa yang perkasa, diperdaya takdir, telah tersesat; kini tiba masanya menuntut balasan yang wajar atas penindasan yang telah dilakukannya terhadap para ṛṣi.”
