अमृतं चैव पानाय दत्तमस्मै पुरा विभो । महात्मना तदर्थ च नास्माभिविनिपात्यते,प्रभो! पूर्वकालमें महात्मा ब्रह्माने इसे पीनेके लिये अमृत प्रदान किया था। इसीलिये हमलोग इस नहुषको स्वर्गसे नीचे नहीं गिरा रहे हैं
amṛtaṃ caiva pānāya dattam asmai purā vibho | mahātmanā tadarthaṃ ca nāsmābhir vinipātyate, prabho ||
Dan lagi, wahai yang perkasa, pada zaman dahulu Brahmā yang berhati mulia telah mengurniakan kepadanya amṛta untuk diminum. Atas sebab itulah, wahai tuan, kami tidak menjatuhkannya dari syurga.
