Shloka 40

उमामहेश्वरव्रतं—पञ्चाक्षरमन्त्रस्य माहात्म्यं, न्यासः, जपविधिः, सदाचारः, विनियोगः

गुह्याद्गुह्यतरं साक्षान् मोक्षज्ञानम् अनुत्तमम् अस्य मन्त्रस्य वक्ष्यामि ऋषिच्छन्दो ऽधिदैवतम्

guhyādguhyataraṃ sākṣān mokṣajñānam anuttamam asya mantrasya vakṣyāmi ṛṣicchando 'dhidaivatam

Kini akan aku nyatakan ṛṣi (pelihat), chandas (meter), dan dewa penaung bagi mantra ini—pengetahuan mokṣa yang tiada bandingan, disedari secara langsung, lebih rahsia daripada segala rahsia—yang menuntun paśu (jiwa terikat) melampaui pāśa (belenggu) menuju Pati, Tuhan Śiva.
