उमामहेश्वरव्रतं—पञ्चाक्षरमन्त्रस्य माहात्म्यं, न्यासः, जपविधिः, सदाचारः, विनियोगः
औदर्यैर्व्याधिभिः सर्वैर् मासेनैकेन मुच्यते एकादशेन भुञ्जीयाद् अन्नं चैवाभिमन्त्रितम्
audaryairvyādhibhiḥ sarvair māsenaikena mucyate ekādaśena bhuñjīyād annaṃ caivābhimantritam
Dengan memakan makanan yang telah diabhimantrakan (diberkati dengan mantra), seseorang terbebas daripada segala penyakit yang timbul daripada gangguan perut dalam masa sebulan. Makanan yang disucikan itu hendaklah dimakan setelah menunaikan disiplin sebelas perkara (ekādaśa-vidhi).

Śiva is implied as the supreme purifier whose mantra transforms ordinary food into a sanctifying medium, loosening pasha (bondage) expressed even as bodily disorder and restoring harmony conducive to sādhanā.
The practice is consuming abhimantrita anna—food consecrated with Śiva-mantra—along with an ekādaśa (elevenfold) regimen of discipline, functioning as a vrata-based support to Śaiva sādhanā.
