येन केनापि वा मर्त्यः प्रलिप्यायतनाग्रतः उत्तरे दक्षिणे वापि पृष्ठतो वा द्विजोत्तमाः
yena kenāpi vā martyaḥ pralipyāyatanāgrataḥ uttare dakṣiṇe vāpi pṛṣṭhato vā dvijottamāḥ
Wahai yang terbaik antara kaum dwija, jika seorang manusia, dengan apa jua cara, menyapu atau mengotorkan ruang di hadapan tempat suci—sama ada di sebelah utara, selatan, atau bahkan di belakang—maka itu dianggap perbuatan tidak wajar terhadap kediaman Tuhan, menghalang kesucian yang diperlukan bagi pemujaan Liṅga Śiva.
