FAQs

It establishes that Shiva-puja is grounded in dharma: humility and reverence to the virtuous (like Arundhatī) and to one’s parents purify the pashu (individual soul) and make worship fit to bear fruit.

Indirectly: Shiva as Pati is approached through inner purification. By bowing down and reducing ahamkāra (ego), the pashu becomes receptive to Shiva’s grace that cuts pasha (bondage).

Namaskāra (obeisance) and vandanā (reverential honoring) as a preparatory discipline—an ethical-yogic foundation that supports effective mantra, puja, and Pāśupata-oriented self-restraint.
