FAQs

It establishes the authority of the rishi-paramparā (teacher lineage) through which sacred narratives—including those that support Śiva-dharma and Liṅga-mahātmyam—are reliably transmitted, grounding worship in śāstra and tradition.

Indirectly, by emphasizing destined revelation through sages, it reflects the Shaiva understanding that Pati (Śiva) ensures dharma’s continuity by empowering seers; the unfolding of scripture is part of His governance over creation and bondage-release (paśu–pāśa-vimocana).

No specific rite is prescribed in this line; the practical takeaway is adherence to guru-paramparā and śāstric recitation (svādhyāya) as foundational disciplines supporting Liṅga-pūjā and Pāśupata-oriented sādhanā.
