सूर्यरथनिर्णयः (चन्द्रस्य पक्षवृद्धिक्षयविधानम्)

प्रक्षीयन्ते परस्यान्तः पीयमानाः कलाः क्रमात् त्रयस्त्रिंशच्छताश्चैव त्रयस्त्रिंशत्तथैव च

prakṣīyante parasyāntaḥ pīyamānāḥ kalāḥ kramāt trayastriṃśacchatāścaiva trayastriṃśattathaiva ca

Di batas paling jauh Yang Mahatinggi, kalā (bahagian ukuran masa dan penzahiran) seakan-akan ‘diminum habis’ lalu berkurang sedikit demi sedikit menurut tertibnya—berjumlah tiga puluh tiga ratus, dan demikian juga tiga puluh tiga.
