Adhyaya 50 — देवपुर्यः, पुराणि, आयतनानि च; श्रीकण्ठाधिपत्य-प्रतिपादनम्

पुराणां तु सहस्राणि सप्त शक्रारिणां द्विजाः मुकुटे पन्नगावासः पुष्पकेतौ मुनीश्वराः

purāṇāṃ tu sahasrāṇi sapta śakrāriṇāṃ dvijāḥ mukuṭe pannagāvāsaḥ puṣpaketau munīśvarāḥ

Wahai para dvija (yang dua kali lahir), Purāṇa dihitung beribu-ribu; dan tujuh yang utama diajarkan dalam tradisi yang berlawanan dengan Śakra (Indra). Dalam kalangan para muni yang mulia, dikenang Pannagāvāsa yang bermahkotakan ular, serta Puṣpaketu—nama-nama dalam salasilah suci yang meneruskan ajaran Śaiva ini.
