Suta Goswami (narrating the episode; addressing the Goddess within the story)
It frames the sacred setting—mountain, Goddess, and an auspicious city—as a field sanctified by Shiva-Shakti, implying that right inquiry and devotion mature into a worthy place for Linga-oriented worship and revelation.
Shiva-tattva is implied through the Goddess’s long, steady presence (śakti) that sanctifies the realm; in Shaiva Siddhanta, Pati (Shiva) is known through Śakti’s grace, which ripens the context for liberating knowledge.
The practice emphasized is praśna (reverent inquiry) as a preparatory limb of Pashupata-oriented discipline—approaching the divine in a consecrated place and asking what leads from pasha (bondage) toward Pati (the Lord).
