FAQs

This verse states that devotion to satya (truth) and dāna (charity) makes a person worthy of reverence even among the devas, indicating these virtues generate exceptional puṇya (merit).

By highlighting that the virtuous are “brought” for darśana and honoured, it implies that strong merit from truth and charity alters one’s post-death trajectory toward higher realms and respectful reception rather than suffering.

Practice honest speech and ethical living (satya), and give regularly (dāna)—especially to worthy causes and in remembrance rituals—so one’s life builds merit and dignity rather than fear of afterlife consequences.
