प्रेतत्वं कर्मभावेन प्राप्तं नामानि च द्विज / मेषाननो लेखको ऽयं रोध (ह) कः पर्वताननः
pretatvaṃ karmabhāvena prāptaṃ nāmāni ca dvija / meṣānano lekhako 'yaṃ rodha (ha) kaḥ parvatānanaḥ
Wahai yang dua kali lahir, keadaan menjadi preta diperoleh menurut kecenderungan karma seseorang, dan sesuai dengannya pelbagai nama pun diberikan. (Ada yang) dipanggil “berwajah domba”; yang ini ialah “Lekhaka” (juru tulis); (yang lain) dikenali sebagai “Rodha/Ha” dan “berwajah gunung”.
