उद्धृतेष्वन्नपिण्डेषु भुवि ये चान्नकाङ्क्षिणः / तैरेवाप्यायनं तेषां ये मनुष्यत्वमागताः

uddhṛteṣvannapiṇḍeṣu bhuvi ye cānnakāṅkṣiṇaḥ / tairevāpyāyanaṃ teṣāṃ ye manuṣyatvamāgatāḥ

Apabila bebola nasi persembahan (piṇḍa) diangkat dan dipersembahkan di bumi, makhluk-makhluk yang mendambakan makanan dipelihara oleh persembahan itu sendiri—iaitu mereka yang telah sampai kepada kelahiran sebagai manusia.
