Lord Vishnu (teaching Garuda/Vinata-putra)
Concept: Smarana (remembrance) of Hari should accompany even minor acts, transforming them into devotion.
Vedantic Theme: Īśvara-smṛti as a purifier of karma; sanctification of action through God-centered intention (bhāva).
Application: Before plucking flowers for worship or household use, pause and mentally recite/remember ‘Kapila Hari’; during pradakṣiṇā, remember Hari as present with/in Garuḍa; cultivate an ‘always remember’ habit.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 3.29 (smarana-vidhi sequence; remembrance tied to daily acts)
This verse frames even small ritual actions (like cutting flowers for worship) as sacred, to be done with mindful remembrance of Vishnu, ensuring the act remains devotional rather than merely mechanical.
It instructs that during circumambulation one should remember Hari ‘within Garuḍa,’ emphasizing Vishnu’s constant presence and the intimate Vishnu–Garuḍa relationship in devotional practice.
Perform offerings and temple practices with conscious attention—pause before plucking flowers or starting pradakshina, and mentally invoke Vishnu—turning routine actions into continuous bhakti.
