Lord Vishnu (narrating to Garuda/Vinata-putra)
Concept: Sevā and kīrtana of the Lord’s deeds lead to intimate participation in the avatāra’s work (aṅgatva).
Vedantic Theme: Īśvara-sevā as a mode of surrender (śaraṇāgati) and participation in līlā; the jīva as nimitta in Bhagavān’s purpose.
Application: Practice nāma-kīrtana and līlā-smaraṇa of Rāma; adopt a service-identity (dāsya) in daily duties as ‘part of’ the Lord’s work.
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Type: avatāra-kṣetra (implied)
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 3.28 (context: identifications across avatāras; aṁśa/aṅga doctrine)
This verse presents narration of Rāma’s divya-ācarita as a liberating act—speech that reveals dharma and strengthens devotion, helping beings associated with the avatāra move toward spiritual upliftment.
By stating that the Vānaras (as divine participants/avatāric associates) were “delivered” and then Rāma’s deeds were proclaimed, the verse links salvation to proximity with the avatāra and to remembrance/hearing of his sacred acts.
Regularly study, recite, or listen to Rāma-kathā (accounts of Rāma’s conduct) and align one’s actions with dharma, treating devotion and ethical living as mutually reinforcing.
