तदैव देवी वारुणी शेषपत्नी तपश्च क्रे इन्दिराप्रीतये च / तदा प्रीता इन्दिरा सुप्रसन्ना उवाच तां वारुणीं शेषपत्नीम्
tadaiva devī vāruṇī śeṣapatnī tapaśca kre indirāprītaye ca / tadā prītā indirā suprasannā uvāca tāṃ vāruṇīṃ śeṣapatnīm
Pada saat itu juga, dewi Vāruṇī, permaisuri Śeṣa, menjalani tapa untuk menyenangkan Indirā (Lakṣmī). Indirā yang berkenan dan amat murah hati lalu bertitah kepada Vāruṇī, isteri Śeṣa.
