Sense-Discipline and Exclusive Refuge in Viṣṇu

कामावतारो विज्ञेयः संदेहो नात्र विद्यते / यो रुद्रपुत्रः स्कन्दस्तु काम एव प्रकीर्तितः

kāmāvatāro vijñeyaḥ saṃdeho nātra vidyate / yo rudraputraḥ skandastu kāma eva prakīrtitaḥ

Ketahuilah bahawa baginda ialah jelmaan (avatāra) Kāma; tiada keraguan padanya. Skanda, putera Rudra, sesungguhnya dipuji sebagai Kāma sendiri.
