Sense-Discipline and Exclusive Refuge in Viṣṇu
हरिं विनान्यं न भजस्व नित्यं सा रेणुका त्वां तु न पालयिष्यति / अदृष्टनामा हरिरिवे हि नित्यं फलप्रदो यदि न स्यात्खगेन्द्र
hariṃ vinānyaṃ na bhajasva nityaṃ sā reṇukā tvāṃ tu na pālayiṣyati / adṛṣṭanāmā haririve hi nityaṃ phalaprado yadi na syātkhagendra
Wahai Khagendra, raja segala burung, janganlah engkau menyembah sesiapa selain Hari pada bila-bila masa; Renukā itu tidak akan melindungimu. Kerana jika Hari—meskipun tidak terlihat dan hanya dikenal melalui nama—bukanlah Pemberi hasil yang kekal, maka tiadalah ibadat apa pun akan berbuah.
