Śrīnivāsa at Svāmipuṣkariṇī: Darśana, Stotra, the Secret Veṅkaṭeśa Mantra, and the Meaning of “Vyaṅkaṭeśa”
The Goddess (Devī) addressing Lord Vishnu (Mukunda)
Concept: Śaraṇāgati to Viṣṇu: darśana and loving surrender destroy doṣa and orient the soul toward mukti.
Vedantic Theme: Grace (anugraha) as the catalyst: bhakti ripens into liberation; doṣa-kṣaya through devotion and divine protection.
Application: Adopt a simple surrender-prayer: ask for protection, inner joy, and liberation; express devotion through embodied worship (nṛtya, kīrtana) with humility.
Primary Rasa: shringara
Secondary Rasa: karuna
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 3.25.10 (continued prayer: lotus-eyed compassion; Govinda-nāma)
The verse presents darśana as spiritually transformative: the Goddess becomes flooded with bliss and devotion, and her doṣas (faults/impurities) are said to be destroyed, indicating purification through direct encounter with Viṣṇu.
Liberation is portrayed as a gift of divine grace—Mukunda is invoked specifically as the giver of vimukti—showing mokṣa as granted by Viṣṇu in response to wholehearted bhakti and surrender.
Cultivate steady devotion—through prayer, remembrance, and reverent worship—seeking inner purification (removal of doṣa) and aligning life toward liberation rather than only worldly comfort.
