तत्याज देहं विष्णुपतित्वकामा मद्रेषु वै वीन्द्र पुत्री प्रजाता / स्वयंवरे लक्ष्मणाया अहं च भित्त्वा लक्ष्यं भूपतीन्द्रावयित्वा

tatyāja dehaṃ viṣṇupatitvakāmā madreṣu vai vīndra putrī prajātā / svayaṃvare lakṣmaṇāyā ahaṃ ca bhittvā lakṣyaṃ bhūpatīndrāvayitvā

Dilahirkan dalam kalangan Madra sebagai puteri Indra, beliau—menginginkan Viṣṇu sebagai suami—meninggalkan jasadnya. Dan aku juga, pada svayaṃvara Lakṣmaṇā, telah menembusi sasaran, lalu dengan itu menundukkan para raja di bumi.
