तत्रापि कारणं वक्ष्ये सादरेण मुनीश्वराः / व्यासस्तु कश्चन ऋषिः पुराणे तामसे स्मृतः

tatrāpi kāraṇaṃ vakṣye sādareṇa munīśvarāḥ / vyāsastu kaścana ṛṣiḥ purāṇe tāmase smṛtaḥ

Di sana juga, wahai para muni yang utama, akan aku jelaskan sebabnya dengan penuh hormat. Dalam tradisi Tāmasa Purāṇa, disebut seorang resi bernama Vyāsa.
