Lord Viṣṇu (in dialogue instruction to Garuḍa)
Concept: Proper valuation (yathā-mūlya) and discernment in trade: excellence (mahāguṇa) determines price beyond mere weight.
Vedantic Theme: Vyavahāra-niyama: order in worldly dealings; guṇa-karma-based assessment rather than appearance alone.
Application: When weighing gems, treat a top-grade indranīla as priced in gold units at the same māṣa measure where a ruby is priced in lesser units—i.e., indranīla commands a higher tariff.
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta

This verse shows that the text preserves practical dharma for society—standardizing how precious stones are weighed and priced, so trade remains fair and consistent.
It does not address the soul’s journey here; instead, it belongs to the Ācāra Kāṇḍa’s practical guidance, focusing on worldly standards (weights, measures, and value) as part of righteous conduct.
Use transparent measurement standards and honest pricing in commerce—especially in high-value goods—so transactions align with ethical duty (dharma).
