भिक्षामाहुर्ग्रासमात्रमन्नं तत्स्याच्चतुर्गुणम् / पुष्कलं हन्तकारं तु तच्चतुर्गुणमुच्यते
bhikṣāmāhurgrāsamātramannaṃ tatsyāccaturguṇam / puṣkalaṃ hantakāraṃ tu taccaturguṇamucyate
Mereka mengatakan bahawa “bhikṣā” (pemberian yang diminta) ialah makanan sekadar satu suapan; adapun kadar yang ditetapkan ialah empat kali ganda daripadanya. Tetapi jumlah yang terlalu mewah disebut “hantakāra” (membinasakan/berlebihan), dan itu juga dihuraikan menurut ukuran empat kali ganda.
