Prāsāda-Lakṣaṇa: Temple Proportions, Śikhara Ratios, Liṅga–Pīṭha Measures, and Auspicious Ground-Plans

Concept: Right approach (mārga) to the sacred center is established by proportion and alignment.
Vedantic Theme: Outer approach ordered toward inner center (bahir-aṅga to antar-aṅga).
Application: Use one bhāga as the module; set the nirgama (projection/exit line) and place the mukha-maṇḍapa in front, equal to the garbha-sūtra measure.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Type: temple threshold/mandapa layout

This verse treats the mukha-maṇḍapa as a precisely measured front hall aligned to the garbha-sūtra, emphasizing correct approach, entry, and ritual circulation before the sanctum.
It uses a standard unit (bhāga) and states that the front hall’s placement/extent should be set from that unit in alignment with the garbha-sūtra (the sanctum’s central axis/cord-line).
For temple renovation or traditional design, maintain clear axial alignment to the sanctum and use consistent modular measurement so the entry hall and projections remain proportionate and ritually functional.
