Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.4.11 (withdrawal and tri-functional roles)
This verse presents the universe as contained within the cosmic egg, emphasizing a unified cosmos in which all beings—devas, asuras, and humans—arise within a single ordered creation sustained by Vishnu.
It states that Vishnu is both sraṣṭā (creator) and pālaka (protector): He emanates creation and then preserves what must be sustained, expressing divine sovereignty over both origination and continuity.
See life as part of a single sacred order: cultivate responsibility (dharma) and protection of what is entrusted to you—family, community, and ethical conduct—reflecting the ideal of preservation taught here.
