FAQs

This verse treats the Guru’s paduka as worthy of the same reverence as the Guru’s feet, emphasizing humility, discipleship, and the sanctity of the teaching lineage.

Indirectly, it grounds spiritual progress in right guidance: honoring the teacher-lineage (Guru–Paraguru–Paramaguru) is presented as a foundational dharmic practice that supports liberation-oriented discipline.

Maintain respect for your teachers and the tradition you learn from—offer gratitude, follow ethical discipline, and avoid pride by remembering the lineage behind your knowledge.
