FAQs

This verse states that honoring the deity’s seat becomes auspicious when accompanied by core offerings—ritual bathing, fragrance, flowers, incense, lamp, and naivedya—indicating completeness and reverence in worship.

It does not directly describe the soul’s post-death journey; instead, it teaches correct ritual conduct (ācāra). Such disciplined worship is presented in the Purana as supportive of dharma and spiritual merit.

In daily puja, include simple forms of these offerings—cleanliness (snāna), a pleasant fragrance, a flower, incense (optional), a lamp, and a small food offering—performed with attention and respect.
