Garuda (Vinata-putra) addressing Lord Vishnu (Acyuta)

Concept: Dṛḍha-bhakti to Viṣṇu is sarva-kāma-phala-pradā; yet the Lord’s greatness makes perfect worship and stotra composition inherently inadequate—prompting surrender.

Vedantic Theme: The infinite (Ananta/Acyuta) cannot be fully encompassed by finite speech and action; grace completes what devotion begins.

Application: Offer simple praise and worship without anxiety; rely on sincerity and constancy rather than literary/ritual perfection.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

FAQs

This verse elevates firm devotion to Viṣṇu as a power that yields all desired fruits, implying that grace (bhakti) surpasses mere ritual capacity.

It reads as Garuḍa’s reverential address to Viṣṇu, expressing humility that no praise or worship can fully match the Lord whose devotion itself grants results.

Cultivate consistent devotion and humility in worship—regular prayer, simple pūjā, and sincere stotra—without pride in ritual expertise.
