Snāna-Śauca Krama: Varuṇa–Āpaḥ Mantras, Aghamarṣaṇa, Sūrya-Upasthāna, and Sarva-Tarpaṇa

अध्यात्मविद्यां विधिवज्जपेद्वा जपसिद्धये / सव्यं कृत्वा त्रिराचम्य श्रियं मेधां धृतिं क्षितिम्

adhyātmavidyāṃ vidhivajjapedvā japasiddhaye / savyaṃ kṛtvā trirācamya śriyaṃ medhāṃ dhṛtiṃ kṣitim

Demi kejayaan japa, hendaklah dibaca dengan tertib mantra pengetahuan rohani (adhyātma-vidyā) menurut aturan. Kemudian, setelah mengambil orientasi kiri sebagaimana ditetapkan dan melakukan ācamana tiga kali, hendaklah memohon Śrī (kemakmuran), medhā (kecerdasan), dhṛti (keteguhan), dan kṣiti (kestabilan/sokongan bumi).
