रात्रौ च दक्षिणे कुर्यादुभे सन्ध्ये यथा दिवा / छायायामन्धकारे वा रात्रौ वाहनि वा द्विजः
rātrau ca dakṣiṇe kuryādubhe sandhye yathā divā / chāyāyāmandhakāre vā rātrau vāhani vā dvijaḥ
Walaupun pada waktu malam, seorang dvija (yang dua kali lahir) hendaklah melaksanakan kedua-dua upacara Sandhyā dengan menghadap ke selatan sebagaimana pada siang hari—sama ada di tempat teduh atau dalam kegelapan, bahkan ketika bermusafir pada malam hari.
