ततो ऽपि सारसं पुण्यं तस्मान्नादेयमुच्यते / तीर्थतोयं ततः पुण्यं गागं पुण्यं तु सर्वतः
tato 'pi sārasaṃ puṇyaṃ tasmānnādeyamucyate / tīrthatoyaṃ tataḥ puṇyaṃ gāgaṃ puṇyaṃ tu sarvataḥ
Lebih mulia lagi ialah air tasik yang suci; maka dikatakan ia tidak wajar ditolak. Lebih mulia daripada itu ialah air tīrtha, air di tempat penyeberangan suci; dan air Sungai Gaṅgā sesungguhnya penuh pahala dan kesucian dalam segala hal, di mana-mana jua.
