Anupāna and the Doṣa-Effects of Foods, Waters, Dairy, Oils, and Preparations

अत्युष्णा मण्डकाः पथ्याः शीतला गुखो मताः / अनुपानञ्च पानीयं श्रमतृष्णादिनाशनम्

atyuṣṇā maṇḍakāḥ pathyāḥ śītalā gukho matāḥ / anupānañca pānīyaṃ śramatṛṣṇādināśanam

Kek maṇḍaka yang sangat panas dianggap baik dan sesuai; manakala gukhā dipandang bersifat menyejukkan. Sebagai minuman susulan (anupāna), air disarankan, kerana ia menghapuskan letih, dahaga, dan ketidakselesaan yang berkaitan.
