Vedantic Theme: Removal of impurities (mala/āma) as a prerequisite for clarity—parallel to inner purification in sādhana.
Application: In āma-dominant acute states with heaviness/lethargy, consider supervised emesis using vacā-salt water (as per traditional protocol), with caution and proper assessment.
Primary Rasa: bhayanaka
Secondary Rasa: karuna

It is presented as an acute, severe disorder arising from āma, resembling a sudden gastro-intestinal affliction with dangerous systemic effects.
It recommends therapeutic vomiting (chardana) using vacā mixed in salted water as a cleansing measure.
The takeaway is to address toxic indigestion promptly with appropriate cleansing and medical care; traditional measures should be used responsibly and with guidance.
