देशकालवयोवह्निसाम्यप्रकृतिभेषजम् / देहसत्त्वबलव्याधीन्बुद्ध्वा कर्म समाचरेत्

Setelah memahami tempat, waktu, usia, api pencernaan (agni), keseimbangan (doṣa), perlembagaan (prakṛti) dan ubat yang sesuai—serta menilai tubuh, minda, kekuatan dan penyakit—barulah hendaklah dilakukan rawatan yang tepat.
