Vedantic Theme: Saguṇa-upāsanā leading toward realization; antaḥkaraṇa-śuddhi as prerequisite; the imperishable (avyaya) as the underlying reality.
Application: Practice dhyāna on Viṣṇu with śaṅkha and gadā; combine japa with reflective contemplation to steady buddhi and cetas.
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 1.15.110 (not grasped by mind/intellect); Garuda Purana 1.15.112 (jñānamūrti; jñānagamyatva)
This verse stresses inner realization: Vishnu is known not merely by ritual, but by refined intellect (buddhi) and focused mind (cetas), supporting liberation-oriented devotion.
By directing attention to the imperishable Lord (avyaya) and His auspicious forms (conch- and mace-bearing), it points to remembrance and contemplation as a means to transcend change and fear.
Cultivate discrimination and steady attention—daily japa/meditation on Vishnu while reflecting on His imperishability and protective symbols (śaṅkha, gadā) to strengthen dharma and detachment.
