FAQs

This verse treats Hāridraka as a distinct, dangerous fever identified by yellow discoloration and a similar bodily coating, warning that it can progress into prameha and become fatal.

While not describing the afterlife directly, it underscores the fragility of embodied life and the urgency of dharma—illness and death can arise from recognizable signs, prompting timely spiritual and practical response.

Treat sudden yellowing and unusual bodily coating as serious warning signs; seek prompt medical care while also maintaining disciplined living (āhāra-vihāra) and dharmic conduct emphasized in the Ācāra Kāṇḍa.
