Daripada Aniruddha lahirlah Vajra. Setelah Hari berangkat, Vajra menjadi raja. Dia menerima Sāndīpani sebagai guru, bersama putera baginda. Di Mathurā dia menempatkan Ugrasena untuk memerintah, dan turut memikul tugas melindungi para dewa, penghuni alam syurga.
