FAQs

This verse prescribes homa using sesame and rice as standard, merit-generating oblations, emphasizing disciplined ritual action supported by pure materials and mantra-based offerings.

Indirectly: it highlights merit-producing rites (homa and proper installation/worship) that the Garuḍa Purāṇa often presents as supportive of dharma and favorable post-death outcomes.

Follow ritual acts with ethical intent: if performing homa, use clean offerings, maintain disciplined counts/commitment, and treat the rite as a practice of self-restraint (ratimukta) rather than mere display.
