आदन्तजन्मनः सद्यः आचूडं नैशिकी स्मृता / त्रिरात्रमा व्रतादेशाद्दशरात्रमतः परम्

Dari saat kelahiran hingga tumbuh gigi pertama—dan demikian juga hingga upacara cukur rambut (tonsure)—hendaklah segera dipatuhi amalan yang disebut Naiśikī. Menurut perintah kitab suci, ia dilakukan selama tiga malam; selepas itu, hendaklah dilakukan selama sepuluh malam.
